The Playing Field Development

The Skirlaugh Playing Field is currently used by Skirlaugh Cricket Club, Skirlaugh AFC U15 Football Club and has a children's playground. The latest challenge is that the pavilion was destroyed by fire and had to be totally demolished. This has been replaced with a temporary building to allow these and other sports to continue until the new Playing Field development is completed.

The Skirlaugh Playing Field Committee is working closely with Skirlaugh Parish Council and local residents to develop a new community playing field facility with the support of local developers.

The Jubilee Wood Development

The Jubilee Wood is land that was not used for the new housing development. The Parish Council is leasing this land from East Riding of Yorkshire Council and has planted the area to be used as a community green space.
