ERYC has published notification of an amendment to the Definitive Map. If confirmed, two footpaths will be added to the map. Details of the paths and how to make representations or objections are included in the notice.

At its March meeting the parish council agreed to declare a Climate Emergency. The declaration and the action plan can be viewed here.

Jubilee Wood is now open for all of Skirlaugh to enjoy. Skirlaugh Parish Council has been working towards making the area accessible for all and a safe place to visit. With safety in mind we would ask all visitors to abide by the following:

There is an increasing problem with vehicles being parked partly on the footpath. This causes an obstruction for pedestrians, in particular those in a wheelchair or mobility scooter and parents with a pushchair.

There have been numerous reports of dog fouling occurring in the village. If anyone notices fouling, please report this to the parish council with details of date, time and location. This information will be collated to identify any persistent problem areas and passed on to the ERYC dog warden. Reports can be made by email, telephone or in writing to the clerk, or through the WhatsApp group.
