Speak to the Councillors

The parish council has introduced a new initiative to improve contact between the council and residents.

An online session to give residents the opportunity to contact the council will take place on Saturday 21st November between 1pm and 3pm.

Details of how to take part will be available in due course.

Christmas Tree Lighting

The Christmas tree lights will be switched on at 6.00 pm on Saturday 28th November 2020.

Unfortunately this cannot take place in the same way as in previous years, but the event will be filmed and will be available to view live on Facebook so that all residents can be a part of the occasion.

Jubilee Wood is opening

Jubilee Wood will shortly open its gates for all of Skirlaugh to enjoy. Skirlaugh Parish Council have been working towards making the area accessible for all and a safe place to visit. With safety in mind we would ask all visitors to abide by the following:

Parking on pavements

There is an increasing problem with vehicles being parked partly on the footpath. This causes an obstruction for pedestrians, in particular those in a wheelchair or mobility scooter and parents with a pushchair.

Dog Fouling

There have been numerous reports of dog fouling occurring in the village. If anyone notices fouling, please report this to the parish council with details of date, time and location. This information will be collated to identify any persistent problem areas and passed on to the ERYC dog warden. Reports can be made by email, telephone or in writing to the clerk, or through the WhatsApp group.
